A4 Jig for Cricut

Free

This tool allowed me to import & cut A4 pages inside Design Space

The Jig Shapes

Full jig, to import inside the Design Space, including the cutoff

  1. Import this into design space, use it as internal reference for all feature A4 cuts.

  2. The red bit on the bottom is what you need to “cut off” for Cricut to allow you to cut A4 paper on a 30x30 mat.

The Sticker Page

You can try the workflow with these stickers.

  1. Export this artboard as svg, including the border rectangles

  2. The rectangles are there to force Design Spaces to import your stickers as an A4 rectangle.

  3. Center align the stickers with the reference jig.

  4. Hide or delete the rectangles group before cutting.

Option 1: Print & Cut Switcheroo.

Maintain your print settings, but place Cricut’s registration marks.

  1. Place your stickers inside the black safezone -> Print them with your settings.

  2. Export the stickers, as svg -> upload to Design Space

  3. Choose print & cut on A4 -> but send to print as pdf, instead of your printer.

  4. Put your printed page on the mat for cutting.

Option 2: No-Trace Overlay.

Reusable physical jig, to keep the page without registration marks

  1. Print the overlay & registration marks

  2. Cut the safezone with Cricut (see option 4)

  3. Print your sticker as usual (not in Design Space)

  4. Tape the jig on top of your stickers page

  5. See Option 1

Option 3: Reference Overlay.

Place this above your page to verify you’re in the safezone.

  1. Copy this jig & place it above your page, digital or printed

  2. Verify nothing passes through the safezone or the registration marks = you’re good.

  3. Anything that is touching “the black” shouldn’t be imported into Design Space for cutting.

  • Overrides Cricut's blocking of A4 on a 30x30 mat

  • Ensures quick & correctly sized imports my prepared .svg designs

  • Doesn't rely on Cricut Design Space's limited import & print settings

  • Avoid 25% material waste because of their huge registration marks safe zone margins.
