For the software developers, providing imprecise AI transcription & a couple of ugly, uneditable presets still qualifies as mission success. Their tools being awful to use is a you problem: why spend much time creating cool content if press 2 buttons do trick?
For those of us that care how good it looks, 2 buttons don’t do trick, and although everything you’d like to make is technically achievable, to go from “almost” to “perfect” just requires infinite time and patience - spent on clicking a lot of buttons in a lot of different places for every action, not on actually making content better.
It took a couple of years, a lot of cursing, and having our heads stuck in a desolate gap between content and tech - truly, no one is trying to bridge this gap between tools and creativity. It’s hard to be competent at both!
As a result, we now know how to actually achieve animated text perfection, and have the know-how to adapt our tools so they serve our process, not the other way around.
